We stayed here in Jackson Hole last year on our 1 year anniversary, and it quickly became a favorite town. This year, we considered unpacking our uhaul here and calling it quits….we love this place.
Jackson hole is a beautiful western town at the base of the Teton Range. Although the town is frequented by cowboys and cowgirls as well as bustling tourists during the summer months, the area thrives in the winter as a small ski village.
ok, so here are the ski slopes....all that's missing is snow. hopefully we will be able to show you a picture of Jackson Hole during the winter season if we make it back there this year!
Saturday night we grabbed some food at the Cadillac Grille and headed over to the Jackson Hole Rodeo!! It was a full fledge rodeo with cowboys, cowgirls, bull riding, calf roping, mutton bustin', and a ton more….it was pretty amazing. I think I could get used to this place.
When in Jackson Hole, WY, check out:
Pearl St. Bagels
Inn on the Creek
The Blue Lion
Cloudveil
Burke Chop House
Jackson Hole Rodeo

aww...you 2 are so cute! nothing beats a night of PBR!
heather, as much as we would have enjoyed some good pabst blue ribbon, unfortunatley there was none involved. it was just some good, wholesome, old-fashioned bull riding.
i'm going to be in jackson hole sometime in the first week and a half in september and i can't wait! tell me what i should make sure i do while i'm there. i'm so jealous of what you and brooke are doing right now and i'm so glad that you are keeping this blog so i can stay updated on what you're up to. i miss you so much!!
xoxo.
so i'm assuming you aren't heading out there to ski...might be a little muddy?
there's so much to do/see in jackson...you'll love it there.
1. make sure to check out the rodeo...it was every wed/sat in summer. check schedule.
2. pearl st. bagels is very note-worthy, and is our favorite coffee/lunch spot in the city. you cannot skip this!
3. as for a nicer dinner, burke chop house had some pretty good eats.
4. now, to get you into the park: you can pretty much drive along the park road (don't take the by-pass...you will miss too much beauty.) and be in awe.
5. if you're looking for a nice little hike/walk, check out jenny lake/string lake/leigh lake area. if looking for a challenge, definitely check out the cascade canyon hike, also in the jenny lake area.
6. wow, there's so much more. just whatever you do, make sure you spend some time in the quiet, away from the crowds, preferably early morning/early evening, when wildlife is at its peak. you'll never want to leave that spot, and you'll have a craving to return for more.
hope this helps, smux! i miss you too!! by the way, what's bringing you out to wy?
love ya
oh! i forgot...you have to make time to hike/drive up signal mountain to experience the most beautiful sunset you'll ever see. the painted sky will remind you that our Creator is the most incredible artist in the world.
